Meet our founder

Chinaventura was born from the vision of Liu Guosheng, who founded the original company, China Tours, in Hamburg in 1996. What began as a way to share his homeland with friends soon became a lifelong mission: to build bridges between China and the world through meaningful travel.

Now part of Ventura Travel, Chinaventura continues this legacy under the direction of Jessica Kuehn, who brings her deep passion for Chinese culture, history, and cuisine to every journey. In early 2024, Jessica Kuehn took the lead of Chinaventura, bringing with her years of experience living in Shanghai and a lifelong curiosity for Chinese culture, history, and cuisine. Guided by the vision of founder Liu Guosheng, she continues to build bridges between China and the rest of the world. For Jessica, every journey is an opportunity to show travelers the many layers of China, a country both ancient and modern, vast yet intimate, where every encounter tells a story.
