Puraventura was founded in 2015 by Central America expert Jonathan Dehouck, who believed Ventura’s responsible travel philosophy could thrive beyond South America. His first journeys through Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Mexico proved that travelers wanted cultural depth, real encounters and nature-rich exploration. The brand’s success became a turning point, inspiring the shift from a single-brand company into what is now Ventura TRAVEL, a house of specialist travel brands.
